Helping individuals and families prioritize their spending in order to reach their financial goals

About APFC

AP Financial Coaching was founded in October 2017 in an effort to help people develop a healthier relationship with their money. With a background in financial advising, I learned during my time in that role that it doesn’t take a high income or a large inheritance to have financial freedom; it takes a clear understanding of your goals and habits created over the course of your life.

My mission as a financial coach is to provide a safe environment where my clients feel supported and encouraged to build healthy money habits.

The financial services industry can be a daunting place for someone who is overwhelmed, fearful, insecure, or ashamed about their financial situation. During my time as a financial advisor I saw this first hand. That is when I realized my true passion for working one on one with clients to navigate the beginning stages of their financial journey.

Meet Adam

My name is Adam Parsons and I am the founder of AP Financial Coaching. Previously, I worked as a financial advisor and saw just about every situation you could imagine: from the 20 year old who understood the value of saving early to the 65 year old couple wondering if and when they could retire so they could spend time with their grandchildren.

I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my wife Michelle, our 2 girls (Annie and Ila) and our pup, Winston. When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, photography, golf, and really anything else that gets me outside.

how i can help you

I help my clients identify what their financial goals are and work with them to create a plan and develop lasting habits. If someone is in a place of financial stability and simply needs another set of eyes to review their situation, I can serve as an unbiased resource to help talk through financial decisions and goals.

I am not a financial planner, and while I think working with a financial planner can offer tremendous benefit, most of my clients are not at that stage yet. Financial planners focus on managing investments, estate and insurance planning, and similar big picture services for those who have established assets. However; there is a large portion of the population that is not quite to that level with their money, and simply needs someone to help manage their day-to-day spending in order to get to that level. I often have clients who either work with a financial planner while working with me, or who “graduate” to a financial planner after completing one of my programs.
